Rap sucks completely. If you ever really listen to it, and think about the song itself, you'll see that it is just another in the long line of mainstream overproduced garbage, force fed to those who can't think for themselves. I'm sure there are some decent lesser known rappers out there, but all the mainstream stuff I hear is basically the same crap. I used to like some rap but as I moved to different types of music, classical for example, I realized that rap really isn't music. It's about a rapper acting like a badass so they can draw in the younger crowd who like to feel like badasses when listening to it in order to gain a profit. All you have to do is make some rhymes, put something about bitches and hos, have some angry rapper act tough as if he has something to prove, put in a bass line, some techno beeps and bloops and there ya go.

Techno isn't bad but it's not my thing anymore really, save for some selective ambient and such. After a while the same beats and trancey synths over and over again get really repetitive.

I'm a progressive house/breaks fan myself. There are groups with some real talent coming into the scene these days, pushing the days of repititive unoriginal house music out the door. Infusion, Grayarea, Luke Chable, and Meat Katie are just a few of the artists to look out for. I would give the Junkie XL remix of Infusion's "Legacy" an award for electronic song of the year if I could. Fucking banging track! I recommend downloading this track for any electronic fan, no matter what genre.

I like Techno.

Mostly tribal techno..like you'd here in a caporeia session...eddies map on tekkin ;o)
Or just anything with a hard, dark, fast-paced beat

I'm more into hip-hop and breaks though.
Easier to dance to IMO. Just makes me feel funky ;o)
Better for funk styles..good for liquid to if that's your thing.
Liquid's more commonly done to trance though.
The 4/8 timing is easier for most people to keep on beat

Trip hop is the closest thing to techno I listen to.
I'm not talking shit about "techno",as a lot of the artists have talent,it's just that a lot of it isn't melodic enough for me.

People think that if you just say the word "hallucinations" it explains everything you want it to explain and eventually whatever it is you can't explain will just go away. It's just a word,it doesn't explain anything...
