Drugs in the mail at christmas time

A good idea or a bad one? I can see customs being so swamped with items coming in that they won't be able to be as attentive to packages than they would be normally.
Thoughts?

You answered your own question. Go for it and try something new.

I am shipping a large quantity - I would rather have a more definite idea of if it's a good idea or not around this time. My only worry is that there are many temp mail workers who won't care as much about swiping packages as they are only temps.

Temps are probably going to be more attentive because they're trying to make a good impression on the boss so that they can be hired on permanently.

Why is it a facepalm, most idiots who get caught are the ones who are receiving massive amounts of drugs to begin with.
Depending on the amount they catch in your mail, you will most likely get a letter or a call.
Being a large shipment try to divide it into separate packages so you don't have to risk losing it all if it does get discovered.

If it is like temps at any other job, then they don't usually give two shits about the job because they WON'T be hired on permanently - it is just a seasonal contract. All jobs I have worked at when I used to work in jobs that hired seasonal employees, the seasonal guys didn't care about the job and were the shittiest workers.

Don't worry about that.. I know what I am doing here. Nothing comes to me, there is NO way it can be traced back to me, save a device in the box, and I never open the contents anywhere near my residence. I receive alot of bulk items - all I am asking here is do you think the odds are better or worse at Christmas time because of the temp workers.

The odds of it slipping through are better at christmas time due to the large volume of legit packages.

This.
Also if I was ever to move weight around the holiday season I'd throw on my old man sweater and load the trunk full of fully wrapped gifts.
This time of year is primo for moving goods through USPS. It'll result in more paranoia for people receiving them but higher success rate anyhow.

You didn't mention which mail class you are using. However, no one should ever use Media Mail to save money for any questionable shipments. The post office can and regularly does inspect media mail packages to make sure they meet the content requirements (books, eductaional materials, CD/DVDs, etc).

Id be on board except , you used the word "customs" . Dude. Yikes! International packages. They pretty much open everything and sometimes they even write what's inside on there. Haha what would they write "heroin" and send it along?
Just be safe , be wise. Merry christmas!

I've worked as a seasonal worker sorting mail, and it was the opposite of what you said. (Some) People had a chance to go permanent if they were really good workers, and most of the temps did try. Your average mail sorter, however, will have little to nothing to do with checking your package... unless it's leaking something or obviously reeking.
You mentioned customs in the OP? As in, international? I'm not sure you would reduce the risk of an international shipment by a ton, when shipping during holidays. Your theory may be correct, or they may hire additional personnel to deal with the volume. Hard to say.
State-to-state maybe it's safer. But if it's something a dog could smell through the package easily, I wouldn't do it. But I tend to not put myself in super-high-risk situations like that.

they actually don't though. ALL packages are scanned for bombs 1/100,000 for gun and about 1/10,000,000,000 for drugs. They really only check if they have a reason to be suspicious. Like a box that smells like a skunk and weighs 3 pounds or a lot of heavy weight packages coming for a foreign country with a lot of weight. But seriously you don't have to worry.
But honestly think about it how long would it take and how many people to look in EVERY package, EVERY airplane, EVERY cargo ship, its just not gonna happen

Yea. Maybe mine were always labeled by customs because they came from a place called "the mush room" in the UK? Perhaps

The majority of vendors are overseas. I've used international frequently. Only had one problem ever. Best time to do it is christmas due to increased volume.

I know a hombre who works at UPS. They usually don't check the packages unless they look shady as fuck (i.e. "To President Barack Obama" from "University of Tora Bora").
On top of that, Christmas is way too busy for them to even glance at most of the packages.

They open everything from places like netherlands and bolivia. I was watching a canadian border patrol reality show which is probably much the same as america and they xrayed and had dogs sniffing. How much they actually check? Who knows. I would say xmas is the best time.Customs are armed federal agents, i dont think they hire temp staff.
