Questions about Incubation HELP!

Hi, AFOAF of mine innoculated his jars on July 16th (Its bein 5 days) The first 2 days he was storing them at around 72-76F on the 3rd day probably about 82F and the last two days around 85-89F my question is, is the temp. too high the way it is they are B+. I heard it was best to keep them at 85-86F would it be ok if they were at a constant
88-89F? Also my friends substrate looks really wet like the layer against the jar is slimey some of the jars have a little bit of white growth on them so I guess they should be ok. Any suggestions about the temp?

I keep mine at 80-82F. The mycelium will create a few degrees of heat as it grows.

Incubate your jars at a steady 85F for best results.
