bulk poo/straw tek needed

My friend is getting into bulk now, and is looking for a tek for poo/straw. He plans to use a quart of popcorn per square foot of substrate which will be about 6" deep in rubbermaid containers. He would like to just use some poo from Home Depot and use it with the straw 50/50. He also plans to mix the spawn up with the straw and poo in the container. The main thing he needs to find out if this sounds like a good idea, and how he should pasteurize the substrate and stuff? Another big concern of his is getting the water content down.

I have read the FAQ and most of the bulk teks already, so if you don't want to answer my questions don't. I have not seen any tek for using straw and bagged poo. I think he will just mix it up in a pillow case, and pasteurize it in a big pot, and let it drain for 24 hours or something. He just doesn't know how much he will need for 3 square feet for example.

Thanks for the link Anno. I have that one bookmarked now. I will tell my friend about it. Do you think this tek would work well in a 35 or so gal. Sterilite instead of the kitty litter trays?
