Is this a contaminated fruit, or just a case of extreme "fuzzy feet?" (pics)

Please give me your opinion:

What is up with this fruit?  Considerations:  This is the only fruit on this entire cake which has this extreme fuzzy, almost spiky outgrowths at the bottom of it.  I have three pictures of it, hopefully it shows it from enough angles, so you have enough information to make an educated determination.  Also, this fruit is at the absolute bottom of my cake, right above the foil base, so it is literally millimeters away from the moistened perlite, inside the SGFC....so perhaps the humidity is that much more intense at the bottom of the cake.

Note: no other fruits show this fuzziness.  Also, there appears to be some yellowish (not bright yellow, almost like a tan/very light brown) discoloration on the stem.

That is...if you can call that round mushroom a cap and stem.  KSSS, FTW!  In fact, the spiky/fuzzy feet have a slight yellowish colouring to them, whereas I did just notice my largest fruit does have a tiny, tiny patch of pure white fuzzy feet underneath it, between the round fruit body and the top of the cake/casing layer.

So, here are the pics:

Here it is again, at a different angle, and the light is not optimal, but my idea was to show the spiky/fuzzy feet in a more apparent fashion:

And, finally, this shot is to hopefully show the "discoloration" of the stem, it is a blotch which is below the cap, and above the spiky/fuzzy feet:

Now, it is possible that I may have misted a tad too heavy this morning, before I left for the day.  :gumby:
I was unable to mist or fan for a good 7 hours today...perhaps some of the water from the mist remained on the stem of that fruit, and caused the discoloration?

Please let me know:  what is your diagnosis for this fruit, and is it safe to eat?  Ah, one other note:  sniffing it up close, it smells nice and fresh and earthy and pungent, like fresh mushrooms.

Thanks for your input!:ruggedwink:

I also agree, doesn't look like any evil mold.  Keep them growing!
