 Evil spirits visited me last night...

NOT!
Despite all the promises of hexes, curses, voodoo, demonic-conjuring, evil spells, and astral travelers coming to wreak havoc on the ole Swamaroo, it has been abnormally quiet.
I have lit the candles and am still waiting for my nighttime visitation.
I only have to haunted ONCE to become a believer. Doesn't have to be regular or repeatable.
Which is it? Are the Swamarino's guardian angels too powerful for weak black magick or are the many posters living in fantasyland?

Lots, but I don't think you can say my nightmares were caused by ghosts or nocturnal visits from evil spirits.

My dreams are the product of my own psyche. The only outside influence on my dreams is the stimulus I encounter during the day, which manifest into bizarre thoughts whilst I'm asleep.

seriously though, don't you "skeptics" every fear coming off as a bit eurocentric? it seems your beef with nonwestern religion is a reaction to the trendiness that these nonwestern religions are enjoying. just keep in mind that it's not just weekend trustafarian suburbanites who espouse these philosophies that place man (and reason) in lesser standing than emotion (/spirit).

I myself, like my skin colour. I don't identify with the whole racial issue, because I am not a part of it. I acknowledge a racial difference (the fact that our skins are a different color), I mean it is true. However, I don't judge anybody any differently because of their skin color. There is a difference, but I don't see why that difference matters. I LIKE my tan skin, and don't feel sorry for it. And if I was black, I'm sure I'd like my skin that way.

No, I am a human being. I recoginize the fact that SOME people create that division there, and that division is passed on to others, but that doesn't mean that I have to recognize the difference. And what if I did? Am I susposse to treat anybody that has been "mistreated" differently because of the division? Doing so only helps the difference live on. Everyone is equal, everyone is treated the same. This is why we still have racial distinctions. We keep thinking there is a difference. Whether or not we treat people with a different skin color negatively, we still treat them differently, just because we recognize the difference. That thought pops into our head, and that alone alters our actions.
It doesn't have to be this way, and the only way to get this passed us is to forget the difference. That's what I mean when I say I don't identify with the "whole racial issue".

well, that sounds like some optimistic denial to me. there are many many differences, and that's good: it'd be really boring if everyone was actually the same -- as you claim. culturally homogenous arguments usally are just a thinly veiled attack on affirmative action.

I think you are completely missing my point, man. Like I said above, there IS a difference. Some people DO have a different color of skin than me, and they HAVE different heritages, as they have came from a different culture. However, that doesn't mean that they are to be treated any differently, at least because there skin is different, or their way of thinking that evolved because people treated them badly because of their skin. From the highest viewpoint, we are ALL THE SAME. Obviously, when you bring the scope down a bit, we are all different. Its called a paradox, and a higher form of truth. What I am saying, is that I do not allow myself to treat anyone any differently, either because their skin is a different color, or because other people have treated them differently because their skin is a different colour. I am obviously not so ignorant as to "take away all the differences". Just as I said in my FIRST post, I'll allow you to read it again, instead of wasting my time quoting myself in this post.

riiiight, you said the only difference was skin color and you speak of cultural differences as if they are some past event.
white people are strange. If I randomly meet a white person, I assume that they lack "flava" or "soul" until they prove otherwise. in the language of my people, the word we use to describe whities is translatable to "without breath". I don't give 2 shits if this violates the hippie ethic, those damn hippies are just co-opting nonwestern culture anyway. fix your own screwed up culture.
