I met these 2 guys this weekend, that were in the army. They each had about a oz. of weed on them. They said they do fuck all week, and get paid $1200 every 2 weeks to do fuck all. They also said they pay no bills, because they live on the base.
Do they not piss test you in the army???
Anyone else in the Canadian military???

Ive thought about joining...Its the absolute best way to fuck the system, live off them for nothing basically.
Id like to see responses from anyone in the army tho!
My uncle used to be in the canadian airforce and he's quite wealthy now, and has always had tax breaks and such, early retirement, traveled all over, never put at much risk......

Ya I'm really thinking of joining myself. Those guys I met this weekend, said that they live like kings. they said there is drugs being sold all over the base. $600 every week for doing fuck all is pretty sweet. He said part-time solders do way more than full time solders.

I know this chinese kid who joined. He was this huge fat kid, klumbsy, always tripping and shit. Didn't have much respect for himself...
Since hes joined, hes shed most of his flab, and is built up. He looks a lot healthier and seemed a lot happier when I talked to him..
I dunno, if I had to be in any army, itd be the canadian one.

A good friend of mine is in the Canadian army. He doesn't smoke weed, but I guess it wouldn't matter either way because he doesn't get drug tested anymore. He told me that they used to do it, but they stop after a while I guess.

I live on an Army base. Most of the guys I know up there don't smoke a lot of weed and actually take thier job pretty seriously. They don't get drug tested after so long, as long as they aren't stupid and give thier superiors a hard time or reason to test them.
I've been living on the base for almost 6 months...almost. I still haven't met ANYONE who smokes regularly. Not one. These guys spend thier days training for thier tours. Half of them are going to bosnia in October to do peacekeeping and the other half are going to afghanistan. That's some pretty serious shit. I'm sure that once they are over there, there's some gratuitous partying happening...but in the meantime...I'm not seeing it. Maybe on weekends in the bar.
Drinking is different, tho. A whole other can 'o beans.

You do get to pick. You go through basic training just like everyone else and based on your natural skills, they give you a whole bunch of options of what you can do.
Anyone can join the infantry. All you need is a penis.

First contract is 3 years. That includes your basic training and Battle School...which is like Canadian Boot Camp. After that, you can go back to civillian life...or resign for another 3 years.
You do get paid $1200 every two weeks as a Private. It's pretty good money. Corporals get $1500, that's after your first promotion...usually after you resign.

I've thought about joining. The main problem is that the only place where the Canadian military houses the kind of work I'd want to do is in the middle of nowhere near Cold Lake, Alberta.
Well, at least I'd be close to Ulysees.
They will pay your way through university, and I think you have to serve 4 years. If you want them to pay for medical school, you have to serve 7 years, I think.

I would imagine that if you have a drug-related criminal record that they would take you on the basis of regular drug testing. I dont' see that they would turn you away, but you gotta be clean, you know what I mean?

over 2 grand spending money every month would be nice. They said you can buy a oz. of kron for $180, on the base. I live about 30 mins away from a army base also.
