Early Pinning and Cloning Question

So I have a minimono (Damion's) that's about 70-80% colonized. It's beginning to pin in a few of the more heavily colonized areas. This was an MS run, so I'm not worried that it is contaminated; simply the unpredictable nature of using multispores for bulk grows.
My question is this: I am just getting into agar work for isolation. These early pins, if they do not abort, would they be good candidates for cloning? To me, it shows tenacity and easy pinning potential. But, since I don't completely understand how the genetics work, they could very well be signs of an inferior genetic build.
Just wanted to know if I should put this tub into fruiting conditions and harvest the early shrooms for cloning to agar. Input is appreciated.

Hey man. Don't want to criticize your Tek but I am wondering if pins showing up in a chunk of mycelium while the other side of the jar is not fully colonized means there was a different amount of spore water injected that was really uneven. Or perhaps your brf substrate was clumpy and uneven. If neither of these factors seem to be what you think has happened then it is safe to assume that your early pinheads are good! Ergo; take some tissue samples of those pinheads or look for silky thread cultures rather than the fuzzy mould type growth. The silky growth are faster colonized.

If anything, this grow deserves criticism :P It's a 1:4 BRF to coir tub. The BRFs were colonized with a MS syringe. Everything is less than optimal for this grow. However, I don't believe it has been contaminated, and think the early pins are just due to using MS and a low spawn ratio. Yes, I know this is all kinds of messed up.
The question I really wanted addressed was whether or not the early pins would be good targets for cloning, given the circumstances.

Yes, the early pins are good clone material. They're likely a different strain than will come later. If they're early and good, it's a nice one to save. RR

in RR's video he explains how pins double in size every 24 hours or something like that... and the mycelium grew super quick in his example. so yeah, assuming you're talking about cubensis, that's not a bad idea.
Good luck!

I've seen a few of RR's videos on the subject, but just didn't know if pulling the early pins would be a good idea genetically; Perhaps the myc was weaker because it colonized its area first and stopped pushing and instead went to pinning, or something like that.
Either way, I'll be taking some of these early pinners and seeing how they do on agar. Thanks for the input RR, FL Funguy. I'll upload pics of the agar plates if it looks worthwhile.
