Surprisingly I've had 2 of them on my balcony that I switch back and forth for close to 10 years. Never had one break on me. Even had sex in it. Still
Haha well in that case I may have to try them out. Although, I'm 6'4 240lbs tho

You can be on the ones I posted with multiple people doing relatively anything you want. Have one of the Hatteras hammocks with a memory foam pad and it is like you are sleeping on a cloud. The reason I call op not a "real" hammock because I think it more resembles and military cot more than anything. It designed for function not comfort whereas mine is the polar opposite. Granted the ones I posted will set you back 200-5000$ depending on what you want, they still (in my view) are superior hammocks for the casual lounger.

You have never used one of the hammocks I posted, have you?

My opinion may be biased because the Hammocks on my mom's property are glorious and are on the shore of the Chesapeake bay
Well you are quite the hammock snob, you and your mom should be proud of you exquisite sophistication.

Ah damnit man! I had forgotten abou the ENOs and now I feel like I MUST have it again. I think I'll have everyone pitch in and get me the ENO OneLink Sleep System. This would be perfect for weekend hikes! Throw that thing up and have a sleeping bag and a little food and man youd be set.

That brazilian hammock does look mighty tits. A hammock should make you feel free, not like you are laying on a bed. If you want to have temperpedic foam....lay on a bed.....I'll take my "military cot" any day of the week over some over zealous bs for show hammock.

Be careful man. I've seen people pull support beams and small trees down with hammocks.. You gotta realize the physics of the situation, it's not just your weight, but exerted at an angle can multiply the amount of force being exerted The actual formula is: Force = ( occupants weight/2 ) / ( sin ( rope angle ref. to the horizon))
 Calculator here - http://theultimatehang.com/hammock-hang-calculator.html
If you weigh say, 160 and the ropes are at lets say 3 degrees you could be putting out 1600 lbs of lateral force.. That's an extreme example but I'm just saying. I'm sure it's awesome but make sure those beams are strong as shit. Hammocks multiply your weight Last thing you want is to be tripping or something and that beam come crashing down and crack you in the head. Although it looks like the rope are pretty lax, so that's good.

Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks?
Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks! Homer, there's four places. There's the Hammock Hut, that's on third.
Uh-huh.
There's Hammocks-R-Us, that's on third too. You got Put-Your-Butt-There.
Mm-Hmm.
That's on third. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the hammock complex on third.
Oh, the hammock district!
That's right.

These beams are extremely strong, held in with rail road ties. This hammocks been hung since early august. My girlfriend and I have laid it in together countless times. I have a friend that is 280 and he swings in it every now and then.
I even had my land lord check it out last month, and he totally approves.
Honestly when I first hung this hammock, I was concerned it would eventually cause the beams to cave in, but they don't even creak. From the last four months, there is no noticeable difference in the beams as far as them coming apart.
I did hang a hammock to a weak dead tree once about 4 years ago, and it was almost death for me. It was supporting me fine, but when my girlfriend came and sat on my stomach as I was laying you just heard SNAP. The dead tree broke and I fell out straight down on a jagged stump that was beneath me......
think of it like \__________me__________/ /\ / \stump
It most definetly broke something. My back bent backwards and I lost vision and couldn't breath and passed out for a good 20 seconds. I came too, and had to struggle so hard to breathe, I almost couldn't. I stood up and it felt like my ribs were shattered, through my back. I was literally in tears and gasping for air. The pain didn't subside totally for about 8 months after the fact.
Needless to say I am very very cautious when swinging in hammocks now.
