ready for fruiting (pictures)
    #17328384 - 12/03/12 06:23 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Hey guys so I've been working on my first bulk tray grow and I've got a few question and I'd really appreciate the help. First of all is it okay if they rye grains have a bit of blue on the ends? I wanna say it's bruising, because it only showed after I shook the jar, and if it is bruising is it going to hinder my grow? I took some pictures (contrasted a bit,jar isn't all black obviously)

and second thing are these trays ready for fruiting conditions?

Thank you all so much for the help!

From what I can tell, your jars look fine so far, just keep an eye on them.  Your trays look about ready for fruiting but I would go ahead and give them a couple more days to consolidate and then give them a good misting. They won't fruit any faster if you introduce them to fruiting now and trust me, you'll be happy that you gave them extra time to colonize. They look kind of dry in the pics so a good misting before you introduce to fruiting will help and they will thank you in return.:mushroom2:

Also, make sure you only shake your jars once during colonization.

Looks like black mold on thoose trays, if it looks like its spreading than its mold if not your fine. If it is bruising by the way than it will turn back to white if it doesn't turn white than its black mold and has to be thrown away.

I see no mold in any of the pictures.

For the jars I used rye and gypsum, and I did g2g transfer. For Spawning I used a coir, coffee grounds, vermiculite, and gypsum mix.

The jars had a tint of blue after I did the first shake at about 25% but turned back to white in 2 days. Should I case the trays?

IMO    i wouldn't case your trays.. Just more work and higher risk of messing something up... Cubes do fine just the way  you have it set up.
