Think this will fix y humidity problem?

I have recently put 6 cakes im a SGFC with soaked perlite. After the perlite was already in the tank i had read that i got the wrong kind, I had the fine grade and not the coarse grade, which I am thinking caused the humidity to be extremely way too low and cause a big problem. . I had gotten one flush out of a cake , which when dried it was 3.9 grams. The other cakes had some pins on each, but seemed as they were drying out and cracking. I dunked the cakes yesterday due to them feeling very dry, I submerged them for like 15 seconds than placed them back in. I have also put the terrarium above a humidifier to run thru the holes in the sgfc to ultimately go thru the perlite and boost the humidity. It has also seemed to add some heat rather it being a measly 68 degrees in my house. I have also started misting my sgfc a couple times rather than me forgetting. It has been a day since I started doing this and they seem very much improved, pins getting chubbier and other ones growing. The sides of the terrarium are getting some what cloudy with moisture so I'm guessing that's a good sign, looking for feedback

Fine perlite works good also, it's just that the coarse stuff is preferred.
15 seconds is nothing...dunk cakes for 24hrs before every flush.
You forgetting to mist doesn't help anything, they should be misted directly until they glisten and fanned 3-6 times a day, always mist then fan out the chamber.
Also do u have the chamber raised up off of the table its on?
Pics of your setup would help.

That is not a SGFC.
Are there holes in the perlite tray?
Are there holes in the lid thats on the bottom?
Please read this page so you have an understanding on how a SGFC works.

So theres 1/4" holes every 2" on all 5 sides of the tray that the perlite is in? I can't see them thats why I said that. Just looks like solid foil with no holes to me.

It looks like an upside down SGFC with no perlite, which completely defeats the purpose of the SGFC.
If you don't do it right, it doesn't work. That's why your RH is low.

yea the perlite has to have holes under it so air can go through it and help evaporate the water out of the perlite.

Jesus people .. Lol. It is an upside tote, there is aluminum foil lining the inside of the middle as you can see from the picture,( so the perlite doesn't spill out when I open it) there is perlite inside, like 5 inches of it.

There are holes underneath of it, the foil is lining the outside of it, but not on the bottom. Was made so I have better access to them instead of having to reach in a tote.

The perlite will not spill out of the holes...its like 5 fat people trying to squeeze thru a small doorway...one might make it...but the rest get stuck. lol.
I suggest you flip the thing upright and use the lid as a lid like everyone else, you will get better results.
Follow the tek, or dont call it a SGFC. I have not seen a single setup like that.

Unless you also have holes in the bottom of the foil that line up perfectly with the holes in the lid of the tub, the perlite is pretty much useless.

I didn't mean spilling out of the holes, since is upside down if I took the top off it would all spill out from the sides, it's a wall for it. Also, people read before you comment damn lol.. I've explained the same thing multiple times, there is no foil under the perlite , so it is getting circulation. And just because it is upside down does not mean its not a SGFC, regardless, it's doing the same job upside down or not

I don't think you understand what we are saying. It doesn't matter per say what the perlite is sitting in or being held in with. The holes on the outside of the chamber have to perfectly line up with the holes in whatever is holding the perlite to allow air to flow through the perlite. You need air moving through the perlite from the sides, bottom and top for the SGFC to properly work.
Now more to the point, If you think you built your SGFC correctly to spec why do you think it is not working as intended? Also you shouldn't keep it in a closet with 1 side against the wall.

I really don't see the point in having it upside down. What is the problem with reaching into the tub?
I suggest you pull the cakes out, get the perlite in the bottom of the tub, get rid of the foil and you should be alright.
Noobs need not innovate.

I can see the need for it but really it might be easier for him to just pick up the tub, set it where he needs to so he can work on it and when he's done just place it back.

I can't imagine a scenario in which you have enough space to set an empty tub but not a full one, but ok, maybe. In that case, you should look into a different type of FC.
