Burma Grow [pics]
    #17326963 - 12/03/12 02:24 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

I began with 1qt jar of WBS inoculated from MS with burma strain.  After reaching full colonization I g2g transferred that to 10x 1qt jars of WBS.  Those colonized, then spawned to 6qt trays of coir/verm per Damion5050's coir tek with two qts of spawn per tray.  Took about two and a half weeks for those trays to colonize, then I introduced fruiting conditions. I maintain a pretty steady 93% RH and they're getting roughly 12 hours of light per day. Two of my trays have performed beautifully, but another three seem to be just hanging out.  Not pictured is my first tray which I just picked about an hour ago, it is one of my two well performing trays.

Why are my results varying so greatly from tray to tray?!?

For now enjoy the porn:

Yep they're 6qt trays, although it bothers me I couldn't find anything other than the transparent variety in stores or even online! Hence the duct tape on the sides to block the light out.  So far they haven't let me down, although some trays not really pinning or not pinning plentifully is getting on my nerves :mad2:

You should try and increase your Fresh Air Exchange..
some of those fruit's are screaming for air...

Multispore inoculation is a crap shoot
At least you got one killer tub!!!

EDIT:: Ultrasonics are poor for use inside the GH.
Your impeller on the bottom is plenty

You could run the ultrasonic outside of the GH for an
added RH boost.

Because they're too fat to support themselves?  From what I understand that IS a symptom of low FAE, and I started fanning much more yesterday, but that doesn't explain the slow/nonexistent pinning of other trays! or does it?  idfk

I'm planning on cloning a single fruit to WBS whenever I harvest from that flush, I'm sick of such genetic variety lol

To fat to support themselves?

Signs of lack of FAE is fuzzy feet, and slender
stipes.

I thought another symptom is when they can't support their own weight, hence the growing sideways, etc. to try to locate additional fresh air?

Could be  I've never had that problem.

But I'd guess not being able to support themselves
would be from skinny fruits. Which would be FAE.

They need more FAE and more water.

The tub that did well had the best genetics. It's a reflection of the gamble that is MS. It's a bitch to isolate a strain out, but it's worth it to get consistency

A little update:  First flushes from all five trays combined yielded about 180g dry, second flush appears to be shaping up nicely
