If you used spores
Then yes, they are a different strain of cubes.

wow, that's pretty cool... it could be different genetics from the same syringe/print, maybe. I remember reading a thread in the Contamination forum about different contaminant mushrooms and how they can grow with the intended ones, like cubes and pans... maybe you got some spores from an entirely different strain in your syringe? Technically not a contamination, though.

Unless you grow out an isolate, you can get lots of variation in the same syringe (multispore).

They're cubes.
When you use spores instead of an isolated culture you end up with many different strains.
The word strain is being misused by by people selling spores.
I would spore print those lighter ones. Looks like you might have a rust spored variety.
sort of like these

Oh, my cake got kind of broken when I was dunking it. It had a few pins on it so I just kept the broken piece with the rest.
And a different type of cube then? Hmm, cool I guess. Even the pins on the right look a bit different than the rest that I had

If they did not come from an isolate, you can assume every cube has different genetic makeup, so every one will be "a different type of cube"
Cubes are cubes with the exception of Penis Envy.
This is why we have a thread stickied to the top of the page, so strain nonsense will stay in there.

Relax man. I was just asking about my own particular cake, not in general, and made the thread for questioning about the ones that we're obviously different, not discussing strains in general.
I mean I know they are not all clones of each other, thus technically different, but no other flush has resulted in blatantly obvious multiple strains like this. So I was curious.

I am relaxed...I was just copying what the rules said kinda...
6. Do NOT ask strain questions in cultivation. There is a sticky thread at the top of the page for such nonsense. 'Strain' in mushrooms is not the same as strain in pot growing, thus we keep 'strain talk' sequestered in it's own dungeon so people won't think it actually matters.
That's all...

2. Do not ask a question, and then when you get your answer, delete your original post as if we're your personal unpaid research assistants. For every poster, there's 1000 lurkers who use the search engine to find their answers and never post. Don't screw them by deleting your question, thus making the search engine return crap. Users who violate this rule will be banned for at least 3 days.
