No need for a casing layer yet this is happening.

Assuming cubes, saying there is no need for a casing layer is correct. You don't need one. You can create the conditions 'needed' without one. For a particular set-up you might want one in order to gives your fruits better conditions though.
-------------------- -Grain to Grain - Will never use another method as long as this is an option.
-Coir - Cheap/Effective/EASY
-Monotubs - So hands free Edward Scissorhands could do this shit.

I like to wait until its just gasping for O2... wasn't it TL that said opening 2 top vents by packing them tight with poly, just enough to let some c02 out, he said was very beneficial in his experience. I think genetics plays one of the biggest roles

You have one hole near the handles on the short sides, yeah?
You might have to adjust the 24/7 fan, your misting, or your fanning. Each grower's situation is different, but it sounds like you are on the right track. Monotubs are pretty easy.

my mini monos didnt work so well in there. but i didnt have a fan.
will look into it. cuz i have a ton of space in my walk-in

A little more in-depth polyfill stuffs, finally got some picture space
Spread a puffball flat on your palm, about a half inch thick at most.

Fold it in half.

Gently roll into a ball that is a bit larger than the hole itself. Use little or no pressure when rolling the ball between your hands. Should end up looking like this:

Gently insert it into the tub, don't stuff it in or anything, just push it through so it's almost falling out. A couple days after fruiting is initiated, my tubs look like this:
Bottom holes: (long sides)

Top holes (short sides)

I would cut a couple top holes, one in the center of your short sides, as close to the handle as possible.

If you cut some top holes and stuff all of the holes like that, you should be able to mess with your fan speed/placement in order to set-n-forget for the first flush (which really gives some beautiful, effortless flushes).
