wow. what a movie..... I haven't tried hard drugs before and I "knew" how addictive coke and such were.
that movie was such a bad trip.
just wanted to say what I thought about the movie. I always have second thoughts about trying coke and stuff. this powered the second thoughts even stronger. I think I might just stay away from them opiums.
quite a depressing movie

I like to stick with the stuff that grows from the ground myself! All natural for me, thank ya... You should check out Aronofsky's first distributed movie Pi. Quite the mind trip, he's a great director!

in the last hospital scene where harry gets his arm amputated.... you know how he had that dream before? where he was in the pier. that was just a dream right? like even before(when it first happened)
and how he fell backwards on the ground and woke up....
some scary shit.

the scene where his arm is so disfigured and still needs to get his fix... that movie is so intense...so is the soundtrack

What would it be like listening to the soundtrack to Requiem for a Dream while tripping?

I absolutely hated the whole soundtrack. it was very disturbing. I mean, with all the great music like floyd and all why would I waste MY time listening to that depressing, emotional stuff!
that movie is such a mind-fuck. even when sober.

When sober I absolutely thrive on that depressing emotional shit! I can only imagine what it would be like while shrooming. It might be a bit too intense, but I'll never know unless I try it!

My friend's a DJ who also likes to make and mix beats and he made a hip-hop remix of the main theme to Requiem, if you wanna check it out go ahead! Edit: Link didn't work, you can go to the main site http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/djblingmusic.htm and stream "instrumental part 2 extended version".

Pi was awesome. I haven't seen Requiem yet, but I plan on it. Only thing is, I'll be tripping on 'cid pretty soon, so I fear the disturbing imagery of the film would surface during the trip. I'll watch it sometime though, blatantly.

I think its just fine if you watch it then you decide to trip later.
movies don't really stick with me and have a great impact after I have watched it. just stays for an hour or so and goes away...

The movie isn't about coke, it is about herion. I beleive Marion snorts coke sometimes, but the movie is mostly about herion.

I got the edited version at the local video joint a few weekends ago. Anyone know which scenes are in the non-edited version that arent in the other?

I like the soundtrack a lot. But I find it to be better when totally sober and not tripping. Not even high. Its so disturbing and the sounds are erratic and harsh. Its great music and the violin overture is like the best theme song for a movie for years to me... but damn... i wouldnt listen to the crazy shit on shrooms.

You are all wrong it is not about heroin or coke. After they shoot they get the effects of heroin(Down, low), with the symptoms of coke(Large pupils)If they shot coke they would be all speedy, which their not(Check the scene when he is in the taxi crying) If they were shooting herion their eyes would be the size of a pinpoint. Its not a specific drug, arifinosky wanted to confuse the symptoms to make a point(The point I dont know). Ive watched the movie 5-10 times tripping and now I almost cant finish the movie sober. You should try it tripping, It leaves you thinking,thinking,thinking......
