does a good pressure cooker require a gauge or top weight?

does a quality pressure cooker require a gauge and/or a top weight? ive seen things advertised as pressure cookers but they lack the gauge and weight. which is the preffered one? will the other work?

there could be some other way it release the pressure,i've never seen one like that.i've always seen the kind a gauge or a weight on top.

just make sure it's goes to 15 psi and it'll fit a few jars,get a big one 12QT or something you won't regrete it.

No, it doesn?t nesessarily reqire nore a gauge nor a weight.
