So I have a spicific question,
is there a spicific type of grain that is best (speed wise) for bulk growing?
Also, I live in LA so I have most any superstore that therein EXCEPT superstores that u might see in rural America, so I feel like I'm actually missing out on where to find other stuff for spawning like hay or hpoo.
So, givin the information I just gave, where can I find,
1) the idea grain (and it's name) 2) hpoo 3) hay
P.S. I know I can find all this shit online, but it's just so much more cost effective to get out there and find it myself, plus I get instan gratification!!! :3

Right now I am using "Whole Grain Rye" and it has a lil tag that says ORGANIC on it. It's from a local health food store. It looks very similar to other rye seeds that I see on this sight, and so far, they work really well nutrients wise, speed during colonization is my main concern.

Well, for colonization time rye would be faster than wild bird seed, however people find it hard to find rye, so they use wild bird seed.
Rye is bigger so the mycellium will colonize it quicker, but wild bird seed will give you more inoculation points, its all personal preference, and whatevers available.

Like has been said, its all about what you can find in your area with ease. I use WBS/Verm/Coir as they are all easy to find and with some gypsum added, give pretty decent results.
I was always put off using poo of any sort as didnt want my place smelling and dont fancy doing all the prep outside (I am not handling poo in my kitchen!).

yeah properly aged manure smells like dirt.
people who are afraid of manure prep indoors are just misinformed, or not fully aware of the information.
or they have wives who are misinformed.
