First time wbs worries.

Alright, so I recently took the dive into mycology, but have been researching for a while now. I read up a lot on the pf tek and was originally going to start off with this as most do, and are recommended to. But as it took awhile for me to gather up the funds for all the supplies, my level of research continued and I learned about grain teks. As I was already planning on buying a PC anyways and I was getting impatient and wanting results as fast as possible I decided to just go with the grain.
Well after gathering up everything needed, I started on the project. But a lot of my reading was on the mushroom info area of the website, and I never delved to deeply into the forums until today.
I followed doc's WBS tek as closely as possible, but due to some unforseen event I had to omit the Tyvek filters. So I pressure cooked 8 jars of WBS with polyfil filters fitted in the lids, and aluminum foil on top at 15 PSI for an hour and a half. I shook all the jars as soon as the pressure returned to normal then allowed them to cool for around 16 hours.
I then started to inoculate the jars, I cleaned out my closet and put some 91% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle and sprayed the living hell out of it, and inoculated them according to the tek. Spraying down the closet every few jars to insure most airborne contams would be killed off (which I would strongly suggest against as it was rather difficult breathing with all the fumes).
I put coffee filters over the top secured with rubber bands, and this is where my worries start. About half of the coffee filters got wet upon placing on the jars meaning that the polyfil must of been wet, I was wondering what would cause this and how to prevent it and if there is any hope for these jars.
Either way I put foil on top of the jars as was shown on the last pic. I then planned on using the TiT method for inoculation but the aquarium heater I was planning on using wasn't working, so I just stuck them in the closet and am using a thermometer and space heater to keep the temp. between 70-82 degrees (Ideally between 75-80). I decided to use the tub I purchased for the TiT method to help keep contams out, seeing as how I don't have Tyvek.
But after going through these forums for a few hours today I am worried about having adequate gas exchange with the jars as well. And if I should remove them from the tub and just leave them in the closet. Also if the polyfil hole would allow enough gas exchange, as I did pack it rather tight (took a little force to stab the syringe through).
It's been about 3 days since I started incubation, and I'm just starting to second guess myself on every turn. Any help and info would be appreciated, sorry for such a long first post.

They don't need much gas exchange. Just take the foil off (I'm sure you did) and let them sit on a shelf or something. Open the window during the day so they can receive indirect sun light . Next time use micropore tape if you can get your hands on it instead of the polyfill, OR use a dry verm layer on top as your contam barrier.

Take the coffee filters off, and let the jars sit by themselves on a shelf in your closet with just the tight polyfil as a filter. No need for the box. No need for a TiT if you can keep the area they are in at the temps you are. I would suggest keeping it below 80 degrees if possible. Between 70-79 seems to work best. Open the door to your closet a few times a day to let fresh air enter the room, which im guessing you're already doing as you are new to the hobby and probably checking on your jars often. Othr than that, you should be fine.
Shouldn't be any issues with the wet polyfil as long as your polyfil isn't touching the grains, and even then I doubt it would be a problem.
You're just over worrying, just as everyone does when they are new to the hobby.
If you need anything else, feel free to send me a PM and I will answer your questions to the best of my ability.

Sounds good, I now have them out and on a shelf in the closet. Giving them some breathing room. My closet is really weird as it has a small window, so it can easily get indirect light but hopefully not to much, thinking about covering the window with a sheet for most of the day.

Well it's been approximately 8 days and there are no signs of growth or contamination. Starting to think that maybe the spores I had are no longer good. What do you guys think?

Unless you've stored them in some extreme conditions (over 200*F or under 0*F), or really abused them in some other way, your spores should be fine.

Why did you put coffee filters on them? Coffee filters are completely useless in mycology.

Well I've had the syringes for about a year now, but I think I might try making some more in the meantime with a syringe I haven't used yet. Possibly do a PF tek with these.
As for coffee filters the tek I was following said to use them, as some sort of dust filter I believe. I questioned the point of it as well lol.
