it does look like it. they can kill a plant with one bite. by spreading virus/ bacteria and I just recently found out with my dragon fruit, fungal. as I only use neem oil these are my plants biggest nemesis. I would remove any you see immediately.  broccoli actually repels them. Also the larvae will eat roots.

aphids on corn.pretty infested too. These are the main bugs I see. I haven't seen any ladybugs anywhere even though I released some in the area.
I think they are bird cherry oat aphids. not sure though.

are those white flies as well?

I hate seeing insects ruin my plants, it's repulsive like seeing maggots feast on a corpse.

*just get a torch and burn them?

no white flies thankfully haven't had those. I believe those are the larvae.
I think the ants killed all the ladybugs larvae around here. The neighbors have killed all the wasps. So they having a big bug orgy party on my plants. Plus I live next to commercial farming so I'm sure that doesn't help.

Here's some pictures taken on some Salvia of a Lacewing Larva. These are among the coolest predatory insects as they use the carcasses of their prey as a backpack to help camouflage themselves against predators and to sneak up on their prey.

Nice shot Mufungo.  That looks like one of those spiders that move around by making very sudden, quick, jerky movements rather than smooth and slow like most spiders.  I love those guys.
