Noah's Ark.. Mythical or Real?

As every who has studied or been unwillingly indoctrinated by some form of the bible knows, Noah was a person who (apparantly) lived in a time when God was rather unhappy with his own creation. Or in otherwords mad at himself for creating "man in his image". This is a question for people that follow Christ... Do you think that a man went and obtained hundreds of thousands of speicies of land insects, and tens of thousands of land mammals? I mean, ever last single specie that was alive then and is alive today. That is one smelly ark. He had to of brought all of these creatures, they would have been killed off. Even if they did "evolve" into what they are today, evolution is allegedly bogus to Christians/Catholics/Likewise.

There was a guy that built a boat, because he knew there was going to be a flood. But the whole world did not flood.

Hmm.... sort of smells like a metaphor to me. But, God, how can we know, anyways? I wonder what it'll be like far later from now, when all of our fairytales in a big collection (Mother Goose or whatnot), is considered by our ancestors to be the Holy Book. I susposse people will take them literally then, too (you mean, all those kids really did live in a shoe, grandpa?) Peace.

Maybe there was going to be a pole shift and some beings told him about it before the fact.

Actually, even the Pope nowadays agrees that evolution is a correct explanation of the observed facts. The only christians who seem to have trouble with evolution are the fundamentalists who believe that everything described in the Bible is literally true.

I saw some documentaries about CIA involvement on search expedition to a turkish montain several years ago. There are also photos taken from a spy satellite showing a weird structure on the montain one time when the ice melt, the problem is that it's always covered with ice and snow and it's very unaccessible. There are many people that really believe the ark is there. Anyway, be it there or not, its existence could explain many things.

is this what you describe? : http://www.wyattmuseum.com/noahs-ark-07.htm
i think i was strangely mis-informed as a youngster. I think i was once told the Ark was found sometime ago... So your saying that the Ark hasn't been found? I think it was my chrisitian parents who told me this (and thats why i feel it may not be totally correct), but they mentioned something about Mt. Sinai. I did a google search and found this: http://www.wyattmuseum.com/noahs-ark-07.htm
though, now i read more and he says he discovered the ark of the covenant??? : http://www.arkdiscovery.com/ark_of_the_covenant.htm
i think this guys just a quack.
