PF Tek, growing out of jars?!

Hello all,
I am growing my first batch of P.Cubensis. So far so good, I checked on my jars yesterday, and there were not pins, but three pretty good size shrooms growing up the side of the jar. I birthed them and they are now in the fruiting chamber. My question is, is that normal? Is that the first flush? Is it more of a wait and see type of deal?
Also, I have a small dilemma. I am leaving out of state for about a month in two weeks from now. How long does it normally take for the first flush? And should there be a light source? If I have my first flush, is there a way to well, pause the grow? and start it back up when I return?
Thank you!

If the jars were 100% colonized then the invitro pinning is normal. Before 100% could mean a contam.
It wouldn't be considered your first flush yet no.
You should be almost thru 2 flushes by then.
Light has been proven beneficial during all stages of mycellium growth. Mushrooms like mammals have a circadian rhythm.
You want ambient/indirect light(on a 12/12 schedule preferably) for colonization and consolidation.
You want direct/intense 6500K light on a 12/12 schedule for fruiting.
There is no way to "pause" a fruiting substrate/cake to my knowledge.

Thanks man. They were 100% colonized. I was just really surprised about how large the "pins" were. They have been in indirect light, rather shady really. I was afraid to over expose them to light. So would a bar light, like for a fish tank work well? possibly with a plant bulb? or brighter the better?
thank you again for the information!

Shroomery peeps you rock with the info.
Thank you much!

Refridgeration is good for storing cultures that are colonizing, but I'm not too sure about fruiting substrates...anyone?

It won't pause it, but it will slow it down. However, I don't think there's any way to stop things from fruiting for a month.
I would harvest everything and trash the cakes just before you leave and if you have any jars colonizing now, leave them in the jars. If not, start some new jars so you have something to come home to.
