fruits before full colonization.... weird
    #17309218 - 11/30/12 01:45 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

so, i was growing a batch of BRF cakes in a fruiting chamber and things seemed to be going just fine, several pins popped up, and then, all of a sudden, they stalled, no further progress was made. i kept up the humidity and temperature for 2 weeks, but they remained exactly the same.
so, in a last ditch effort to get shrooms, i took the cakes (which were very dry for some reason, probably explaining the stalling)and spawned them to a bed of coir. despite the lid of the tub being closed and the bed not being fully colonized, several shrooms have grown, but only on the side of the tub where a very tiny crack of light could have shown from under the door of the closet they are in. so the question now is... should i uncover the holes in the tub, put a light on it and start misting and fanning, or do i wait until it is fully colonized?

How long did you dunk the cakes in the first place? Did you have a 6500k light on them while you were trying induce fruiting?

unfortunately, i never dunked them, i just birthed them and stuck them in the chamber, probably why they dried out. and no.... just a desk lamp lol
