Will my mycellium survive the winter?
    #17307356 - 11/30/12 05:57 AM (12 years, 1 month ago)

I have 10 madbags at different point of colonization, between 30-60%

Do to extenuating circumstances, I had to move them and they are currently in a very cold room with no heat. They have completely stalled the past few weeks with no growth.

In another 2-3 months when it warms up, will they start colonizing again, or are they dead now? They are all healthy white, but I suspect the bag grains and substrate are terribly dry.  Can they survive this long in the cold or is this a lost cause?

Thanks for any help.

I'm sure the mycelium will survive, after all its able to be put into a fridge and bounce back. The only concern is the stall your having, and whether it was caused by the cold temps, that I can't help with :frown:. Just wait it out if all you can do I guess
