the pf tek
    #1730509 - 07/19/03 05:59 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Alright, i'm about to begin my first grow, and realized that the PF tek calls for 1/2 pint jars, and the ones i picked up from my hardware store were the only ones there and were 1 pint jars. And the only vermiculite they had was the coarse stuff, and it didnt say anything about using it to grow stuff, just about using it to insulate your attic. Could i succesfully use 1 pint jars using the PF? could i succesfully use that vermiculite?

george, whats the benefits of putting a layer of verm on both the top and bottom? wouldnt that mean that no mycelium will grow on what will turn out to be the top of the cake while fruiting?
