First monotub. Rye to coir then casing? Need some expert advice

I'm planning on doing my first bulk substrate in a monotub. I have had sucess with casing rye grain with peat moss and verm but now I wanna go bigger with a monotub. I had read a lot from reliable sources that coir is just as good as manure (rogerrabbit). But now I have NEVER had a successful monotub so I don't wanna fuck it up... 1. So to do this right I planned on taking my fully colinized rye and spawning it with some fully hydrated coir (after pasteurized) in my monotub then letting it colonize the coir fully. Also what would be a good ratio for coir/rye grain? 2. then apply my pH balance(7.1) casing of peat moss and verm then let colonize then fruit.
-I have all the specs for a good montub. My question is more with my method or how I should approach bulk substrate if I only have access to coir (at the moment) when using rye grain.
Any advice comments or direction from experts would really be appreached

For starters, I have some good information in my sig. If you have contam problems, I'd recommend proper pasteurization (not bucket tek). Make sure you smell each and every jar of spawn, after it's broken up but before putting it in the tub. Don't case. Cubes don't need it and it's just an extra step you don't need to worry about.

Cool stuff sir! I like your links but you don't have one for spawning? That link would be nice. I am aware that cubes don't need casing. But! I like casing haha I think of it as a nice warm protect moist blanket for my precise mycelium. So the casing is staying But my "method" otherwise sounds good?

If you like casing, definitely do it, just saying it's an extra step where contams can manifest I have no write up yet but it's pretty simple. After my substrate cools, I clean my tub with warm soapy water and give it a wipe down with some isopropyl. I layer my substrate first, then a layer of spawn. Continue until you're out of grains, saving the last layer of substrate for the top layer but don't apply it yet. Get in there and mix up the grains and the substrate really well. Even it out, then add your top layer of substrate and even it out again.
That's all there is to it! Tape up your holes and leave it be til you're ready to case

Well sir thank you for the easy explanation . I can't wait to start. I just have one more question What kind of ratio of substrate to spawn? I have 4 gallons of rye spawn and I'd like to make maybe more than one montub?

Can never go wrong with 1:1 but its really preference, the less sub to spawn the quicker colonization time.
