Why are the mushrooms growing sideways...?

Are mushrooms are growing sideways and some even down towards the perlite. We are using a solid blue tupperware as the terrarium with a whole cut out on top. Any light coming in is directly from above (we mostly use just regular room light or sometimes a lamp right above our opening). Any advice would be helpful.

get a florsent light, and set it on top of the fruting chamber

how is your humidity?? I've noticed sometimes that my shrooms will direct themselves towards water when there isn't a high humdity level in the terrarium... and if you have foil under your cakes that will cause it too

the perlite reflects light so the mushies somtimes grow toward it
it's no big deal they are just as good as the ones growing strait up or side ways

A strong florescent light will redirect your next flush, thus not covering the fungi in perlite, which will most likely happen if it starts to grow sideways.
