The post office has tyvek envelopes for free. Is the post office far?

yes. the back says it has a micron filter of .03 and 1

I would suspect that the above furnace filter will probably absorb water, and fail when wet. That's not something I'm certain of, but a general suspicion.
If you have a cheap pillow, it probably has polyfill inside.

I think you would be better off just using micropore tape than that filter.

Injecting through tape and then taping over it isn't ideal, but given your limited resources, it may be your best option. Do you have access to silicone caulk or RTV?
