Alien Anatomy
    #1727773 - 07/18/03 03:53 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

what are the chances that beings that evolved on a different planet would have the same basic anatomical configuration as human beings - bipedal, two legs, two arms, etc?

it seems pretty unlikely. maybe these vistors evolved on Earth a long time ago. if I was an anthropologist, I would place them in the human family, or at least among the great apes. I wouldn't assume that they're from outer space. if you study them just like any other animal, they look like they would be related to humans.

another possibility.

the famous question: "if time travel is possible, where are all the tourists from the future?"...

Or they could be us, from a parallel universe

I think it's unlinkely that they'd look similar to us, unless they had similar conditions during their evolution (assuming they evolved).

an interesting fact:
if you take current human evolutionary trends and project them into the distant future, you will essentially have an archetypical "alien"

1. increasing cranial capacity
2. decreasing hair
3. receding brows
4. mouth/nose/ears - getting smaller

imagine the typical caveman face, now morph that into a modern human face and extrapolate the changes to come up with a picture of what's to come. it should be familiar.

I think the human race will eventually outgrow the concept of time and it won't be a relevant issue...

Another dimension? define "dimension"...

Well according to the Zetas, (the common grey) they used to be human.
Then their planet broke out into nuclear war. They destroyed the atmosphere, and had to survive by living underground. They lived there for hundreds or thousands of years, developing their sciences and their minds. In fact, that's all they focused on. The babies began being born with enormously large heads, which were killing both the mother and baby at birth. So they started cloning. At the same time, they were experimenting with genetic engineering, in an effort to improve the 'faults' of their race, and improve on other things at the same time.

They mixed some plant DNA with their own, in order to gain a slight nutrition boost from the sun.. like photosynthesis.. a sugar high if you will. They also mixed their DNA with that of some common insect.. a bee perhaps..

Well, after hundreds of years living in caves, (and genetic engineering and cloning) the body will change to suit the environment. Due to a severe lack of light, their eyes developed into huge pupils, like most cave animals, in order to absorb the maximum amount of what little light there was. Also due to a lack of light, was a change in body tone, from a fleshy color to a dull grey. Since they were relying almost completely on their minds to manipulate the environment, and their machines and sciences.. they became weak and thin. The bodies received little exercise, so it became frail.

Their diet also changed, and so did their internal organs. From what I hear, they don't have a stomach and intestines and all that..it evolved into a single organ.

So after a few thousand years of living underground they finally came out of their caves and were met by other beings who had come to help them get out of their rut. Then they joined the Galatic Federation. That's one story in a nutshell...

According to my sources, human is the most common form for intelligent life to incarnate into in this Galaxy. Not to say it's the only one.. just the most common. Wherever you have a water-based planet, with a sun about our size and distance from the planet, you can almost be sure there will be some humans, however evolved they may be. On other planets, where there may not be much water at all, different forms of intelligent life develop. I have heard of insects..specifically preying mantis' developing to become the intelligent sentient species on their planet. On silicon-based planets, you will find silicon-based beings.

There is a path of evolution, and we all follow it. Though it may vary slightly from solar system to solar system, it all essentially remains the same. Human evolution follows a distinct pattern, as do all atoms, trees, and the rest of the Material Universe.

www.zetatalk.com

There's suuch a vast amount of writings on the internet about Zetas, Greys, Ancients, Lizard people, etc. That site is (at the least) an interesting place to start.

Here's what your common human will look like, after ascending into 4th dimensional consciousness in natural evolution.

<noob question>What's 4th dimensional consciousness? Not being bound by time or something?

hmmm.. so you're saying that the human form is the default configuration for intelligent life? that's interesting. it's kinda like in star trek where all the aliens are basically humans with genetelia on their foreheads...

but I don't think that's very likely. there's probably a variety of forms "out there" just as there is on Earth.

Remeber this, the conditions for life are probably fairly consistant throughout the universe. I.e Air, Water, Sun etc

So maybe beings are evolving similarly because they have a similar environment to us, this would make them only slighlty different?

I think that if the theory that humanoids are the most common species in the universe is correct, then the seeding theory, is most likely the cause.

Seeding theory, for those that don't know, claims that an intelligent race, possibly one of the first intelligent ones, if not the only one, spread DNA across the universe, or maybe galaxy.
