Quick update: Five days after I scared the shit out of myself, I cautiously re-approached the DMT resin in my pipe - yeah, there's still some in it!. 
This time, instead of just hitting the pipe on a moment's notice, I spent 40 minutes meditating, followed by another 5 minutes examining my motivation for smoking it, and about 5 minutes settling on a single question upon which I was seeking insight.
I cautiously took 2 hits, not immediately back-to-back, but close enough in time that I could sense where the first hit would take me, and the second hit would land me. Now that I know what "threshold" feels like for me and what it takes to put me terrifyingly over-the-top, I managed to put myself nicely into a low-middle ground.
There was no malice, panic or bad feelings sensed. I felt comfortably altered, like a good dose (3 grams) of shrooms, and although there were no open eye visuals, I had some delicate closed eye scintillations, mostly in a green and black motif. Total elapsed time before returning completely to baseline was 6 minutes.
About 3 minutes after returning to baseline, I unexpectedly felt horny and was wishing my wife was home! Maybe it was just the relief of making peace and getting back on track with this molecule...who knows?
I've learned alot about how I personally need to interact with DMT, and I plan to very slowly and responsibly work up in dosage in the future and see where it takes me. This is potent stuff.

Okay, after reading this thread I had to find out if there was something to this.
I have a pipe that has a good bit of DMT "resin" leftover from many spacetrips, so I decided to test this for myself.
So I attempted to vaporize this residue, and it began to bubble and spurt like cooking oil, and after a few minutes began to turn to vapor.
I took two hits and was unable to take a third, because this stuff was nasty. It seems that no matter how large of a hit you take, nothing comes out on the exhale. The taste is like plastic, fresh DMT is so much better.
I felt that familiar energetic buzz that DMT brings on, and closed my eyes. I could feel myself lifting off, but never made it off of baseline. Instead of the usual geometries in my closed-eye mindscape, I felt as if my face were pressed against the ceiling, similiar to what Ive experienced with salvia.
During this time, I notice a very heavy body load. My chest hurts, Im nauseous, and have an uncomfortable head pressure. I come down rather quickly and have to lie down because of the general discomfort in my body.
Overall I would say that the experience was slightly negative, but I am unsure if this negativity is a product of the bodily discomfort or not.

Were you able to conclude, or at least formulate an opinion or impression on whether the left overs are simply melted DMT or an oxide or other moiety of DMT?

I cant draw an accurate conclusion based on this one experience, especially since I didnt breakthrough.
The DMT is most definitely present, and there very well may be some sort of oxide present. I wouldnt say that it is merely melted DMT either, as this residue doesnt vaporize as quickly or easily as fresh DMT.
I would like to try this again soon, but the body load is keeping me wary of further experimentation.

As I said before - If you are using pure spice, than what else can come from pure spice other than melted spice? The way I see it, you shouldn't draw conclusions with spice at all, you will only be fooling yourself. It looks, tastes and smells different, therefore it is different. Keep working with it. I can say from experience, that in this form, the spice can and will take you just as far as you could ever want to go. Safe Journeys.

Once you've broken through it gets easier to do again, and you need to develop a routine that allows you to relax. I like to smoke DMT without a lot of planning. Some days I just wake up and know today is a day I am going to smoke some DMT. When I'm feeling good I'll go outside and sit in my backyard in a bug free quiet safe spot with a loaded pipe and I sit there until my pulse starts to go down. Every time I am going to smoke my blood pressure begins to rise and I just sit and wait until I feel it go down. By that time I have already committed to the dose and am ready to let the experience happen. It is important to hit the pipe more than once because that resin is the DMT. It starts out white, turns into liquid, and then vaporizes. If it isn't vaporized it doesn't just stay a white powder; it is now a solid resin. Actually I haven't smoked it in a while, but in the past I found my routine worked great. If you try to do DMT in all kind of crazy stupid ways it ends up not being as meaningful and can be really scary or paranoia inducing.
DMT is unpredictable and may or may not like you. Treat your dmt like you would treat the most sacred thing you have ever had. The last time I had DMT ; I lost everything I ever had, my body was gone, I was gone, all that was left was white and without any substance at all. As soon as I came down a little I puked a magical substance that glowed and slithered (don't forget to take DMT on an empty stomach!). I no longer have the desire to get "higher". DMT is amazing, but after many experiences I know believe that once you know those spirits and other realities exist you don't need to chase the dragon. I know prefer medium to high dose mushroom trips once every two months or so.

Here's my experience:
- I had 200 mg's of DMT
- Threw it all in the pipe
- Took a few hits and tripped
- Being on coke at the time, I tried to do it again and wasted a bunch of DMT
After that, my pipe had a thin coating of orange in the place where you smoke it, (Meth pipe bowl, if that's what you call it)
- 3 months later I'm bored.
- So I smoke the remaining orange in the pipe.
- I had an amazing DMT experience.
Point form is how I roll when I'm lazy.

SWIM knows of the DMT "resin" you speak of-
its that brown, solidified puddle left in the pipe when not all of what you loaded gets smoked.
For SWIM, Smoking this resin is extremely different than smoking from a clean pipe and causes the following effects:
-Less visual
-What visions are seen are more weird and dark
-I think I imagine the visuals more than I actually see them
-Thoughts race much faster
-Multiple, simultaneous thoughts repeat over an dover
-Cannot relax or keep a clear mind
-Stranger sounds
-Bad feelings, like "what am I doing" "why am I doing this"
-Memories pop into head
-The memories come in so fast I cant even identify them
-Frustrating
-My eyes twitch out
-Confusion
-Hot and sweaty

I've smoked numerous times and have honestly had only 2 different experiences. Every time I hit it, the experience has been and will be either one of these 2 experiences.
1: "Good" Buzzing in ears noticeable, rises in pitch. Vision becomes clearer and crisp patterns are seen very quickly. Aztec/mayan patterns. Holy temple. Buddha guy. Feelings of love. small body load, but amazing/very sharp/very crystal clear translucent colorful visuals. Amazing afterglow with relaxing body high and amazing clear eyesight.
2: "Bad" Buzzing in ears is not strong, sometimes non-exist. Physcial discomfort comes thru body like about to pass out but disappointed that visuals havent kicked in. Shipibo pattern. Chaotic squiggling vibrating dot mosaic. Feelings of doubt and confusion. Endless and simultaneous repeating negative thoughts. Dark Casino. Evil gollum-clowns squirming around raping my insides. Large, numbing and uncomfortably warm body load, but no clear visuals only flashes of sinister things. Rock in my throat. Retching/ dry heaves (high doses). Uncomfortable afterglow with glossy cloudy vision and touching things feels weird.
Although I have no doubt that the residual brown resin left in the bowl has caused significantly more of the "bad" trips for me than it has produced "good", I have experienced both trips each with clean-pipe and resin-pipe.

Last night I had the worst experience of my entire life after taking an MAOI inhibitor (30mg harmaline crystals in my gums) and smoking what I thought was just 20mg DMT in a pipe caked with resin. I'm still reeling but I felt like this 100mph elf presence hit me with a psychedelic hammer and mocked all my disorganized thoughts with wild jumping sounds and visuals before I was dumped into a violent screaming void full of the horribly wicked reptilian presence. It would not stop for a half hour. Eyed open my friend was translucent, curled up and deformed, covered in reptilian scales made of thin lines of creeping light. It was just so horrible, I thought I would never recover. The after effects are a little scary. I feel like I can't shake the feeling of that sinister presence. It was just so terrible. I couldn't believe this beautiful substance turned on my like that. I was relaxed and positive and I got hit with a psycho two- by- four. Posting because this thread was a god-send.

What is clear is that to completely avoid the above-cited experience(s), place no more DMT in the pipe than you intend to consume in your one, two, or three hits. I purchased a SECOND oil pipe ($6.00) and will put one dose in each (like 25 mg) and consume the entire amount in each in one hit from now on.

I've read of this occurrence where dmt that has been oxide-(when one of the ingredients of the compound has been turned to oxygen), has reports that are most entirely negative.
Theoretically could this oxidization occur in regular dmt that was otherwise the results of a good extraction and stored in the basic cool/dry/place ? I've only read briefly on this particular subject and know very little to begin with, it did have something to do w/ jungle juice but it leads me to believe this could happen gradually over time in the crystalline dmt.
I've read one could re-crystallize and change it back but maybe not with all spice goo.
Basically what does it take for dmt to oxide ?

Yeah, I had such a bad experience with resin that I can't really get myself to get back on board the DMT train. My whole world turned just green and I had the WORST body load that I've ever had. I came out of it feeling really loopy and shaking and haven't been able to calm down for a trip since. Fuckin sucks

I'm going to a reading by Dennis McKenna next weekend. I'm hoping to have a chance to talk to him a little. It sounds like he and Terence experienced the "screaming abyss" and survived it OK. I've broken through a handful of times, the most profound being an encounter I had with a huge angelic figure run down the center with a wheel covered in language and a body covered in churning shapes and eyeballs. I had just told my friend that I didn't think a bad trip would be possible, that I felt so at hope in "hyperspace." Then I just get torn apart. I don't think I'll be able to do it again. Everything I see today seems sinister. Just a horrible experience.
If its inevitable to have this kind of experience eventually, I wonder if the end game of DMT is dark. Maybe not, just hard for me to think of it as a beautiful thing anymore.
