I have around 10 sterile syringes i was womdering if its possible to turn a swab into a syringe using the shotglass tek? If so how? Thanks guys! I looked in the forums but it only shows how to make syringes from prints. Happy late thanksgiving!!

Theoretically you should be able to. But your risk of contam may be a little higher. Ideally you really want to use agar, so you can isolate your mycelia away from the contams that the cotton fiber may harbor. If prepared properly that swab should have millions of spores on it. Just stir some sterile water with it, and rub it on the sides of the glass to free the spores.
Thats my best guess. Cheers.

I've tried it before with a PE swab. I only got germination in 2/10 jars. Get some agar or you risk the whole project failing.

For sure, you need to streak that swab onto agar.
Imagine how the swab was originally made: A moist, growing mushroom in a fruiting chamber had its gills swiped with a q-tip. Sure, lots of spores ended up on the swab .. but so did moist, mushroom gill flesh, etc. etc.
If you make a spore syringe with the swab you will grow myc. and bacteria on your grain.
Streak the swab on agar and transfer away from any problems that occur.
You would have better 'luck' putting clean tissue (from the interior of a mushroom) into an LC (still quite 'iffy'). Spores from the EXTERIOR of a fruit from a non-sterile FC .. not recommended.
