I must reccomend the book Enders Game. I read it yesturday. Grabs you and holds you. Exciting story, a really great one. If you love fantasy and sci fi like I do, read it!

Ok, go to the book store and buy all 5(?) books in that series. I love enders game, but that whole saga gets expanded so much more in xenocide, children of the mind, speaker for the dead, etc. Those are some beautiful epic tales, very psychedelic too.

I read Ender's Game a long time ago - I second the recommendation - it is EXCELLENT!

Spoiler:

It kind of parallels modern ideas of people becoming disillusioned with capitalist consumerism and realizing "OH MY GOD WE'RE BEING USED!" - he gets worked by the system.

Noviseer, yesturday I went to the library to get Speaker for the Dead, it was checked out. I put a hold on it. When it gets returned I'll read it then the rest of them. Enders game was one of the best I've read in a while. Someone else told me Speaker for the Dead is infinatly better, I can't wait.

Strumpling, I never thought of a parallel between capatalism and using a kid to kill an enemy race. He gets worked over by the system all right. Even more unfair was when "they", that is the IF, wouldn't let him go home. If I was that boy I'd have led the fleet home and I don't think anyone could have stopped him. I'd have turned the system on it's head. He could've.

I read Speaker For the Dead. Great book. It's as good as Enders Game. I'll get Xenocide on Friday. That'll be an interesting read, Ender Wiggin going to war against the 100 worlds. Geez. I almost wonder if he still has his status of an Admiral of the International Fleet, not that it would matter at this point.
