 Trip Report: First, and last, DXM Experiment

I dosed myself 750ml of a safe, triple-checked brand of cought syrup.
About 2 hours after the hard ingestion, it tastes what a fresh placenta would taste, I had a harst nausea and I kept holding back..
I finally decided I had to puke, because I would feel better after and it wouldn't be that bad afterall..
I puked, 4 times, that gooish pink rasberry smelling stuff.
Felt pretty sober for a little while.. Then I felt like waves of energy going throught me, I was on my feets twitching, not twitching but moving let's say my arm really fast in a direction... and turning my torso around..
This didn't lasted long, I drank some water and got back with my friends sitting not far away.. I talked, it was some fast sentences quickly thought but kind of unconsciouly thought.. anyways, I was arguing some stuff..
Afterwhile, I felt incredibly energic, I felt like I wanted to run a marathon, I was robot walking and finding it somewhat funny...
I entered a state of semi-consciousness when we sat down some time later in another park.. I was there, but at the same time I wasn't.. kind of weird to describe but it was like some weed high for some time..
I left with a friend, got into a bus and listened to some radiohead songs like pyramid song... it felt like I was tripping off shrooms during the bus ride.. We got off, sat into a park and talked for an unknown amount of time, time wasn't important back then.
I went back home, sent a pm to levity and went to bed...
There started some heavy visuals : my room was all black(lights off)... the walls were covered with egyptian-like symbols and eyes looking at me... I closed my eyes to see the same visuals, at first it was fun but I wanted to sleep and had to wait till they would wear off.
It's been 3 days now, and I still feel some slowness, some loss of equilibre, some difficulty to articulate my phrases sometimes.
I think, personnaly, that it does damage the brain, somehow, but it sure does..
I tried it to try it, I wanted to experiment and I won't ever swallow some dxm again because the 'robotrip' itself isn't really enjoyable like shrooms or anything, it's more a mind-fuck than anything else.
Do whatever you want but be warned you are likely to feel 'zombified' for a couple of days after.

after I tried DXM, I noticed an all around increase in spelling errors with my keyboard and in hand writing, almost as if my mind had lost it's ability to form words fluidly, this happened for a few days

DXM is metabolized slowly at high doses due to enzyme saturation. I usually trip off 750mg for 12 to 18 hours, with the after-effects being noticeable upto 72 hours after ingestion. I have woken up 72 hours later after such doses, still hallucinating. Needless to say, this could be disconcerting if I had important things to do.

Sounds like what happened to me after I took too many HBWR seeds. I actually only took 9, but they were very fresh and potent.
After a shroom trip I usually feel great. I was a little depressed after a cactus trip and then a shroom trip the day after though. That's not at all normal for me though.

Cough Syrup? I don't know why anyone would really want to try tripping off cough syrup...first of all it tastes gross, second of all...were you that desperate? Don't mean to criticize or anything, do what you wanna do, by all means...but cough syrup?! c'mon now....

I would have to agree..why not just do shrooms? They are way cooler than what dmx sounds like. Like Sweet_Stoner I would say no offense, just seems wierd.

I would agree with both of you guys had I not just recently drinken some of it! I would definately prefer shrooms, but unfortunately some of us can't get them very readily, so I found out about DXM and tried it--thought it was great! Gave me a great body high and some great closed-eye visuals, just listening to music on my bed with all the lights out. Not to mention I enjoyed the "afterglow" most of the next day. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones who enjoy it...

Because some people like a DXM trip. I understand if you just don't like a DXM trip, but why is it strange to drink cough syrup and normal to eat mushrooms?

Its strange to drink cough syrup for its psychoactive properties. I dont think that the majority of people who drink Robo do it to "trip". I'm pretty sure that the majority of people who use psychedelic mushrooms do so for the psychoactive properties. Nobody is putting P. Cubensis in their stir-fry, "Just to give it flavor."
