I picked off the larger pins and dunked them as normal. They are fruiting now. I made them out of left over materials it was a rye/brf mixture.

I bought some half pint canning jars, from the same company except they are plastic, and not only do they stack, they screw into each other. So you can stack your substrates in one 20 jar tall thing that hits your ceiling. Space saving!

Nope, they're just standard plastic wide mouth lids. I've used them for many grows, they work great. I don't use a gasket or anything either

The plastic lids for canning jars are autoclavable. I got into the argument w/ my mom a few years back about them. She gave up when I said I've PCed them for over 90 minutes at 15 PSI.
If you can't find glass canning jars, you can use the disposable tupperware jars that stack in one another.Quote:

I can only see yellow spots. At work on cell phone right now, not going to make any claims until I see them full size.
Thanks Tranc, I just need new lids 75% of all my lids and rings are rusted pretty bad from repeated abuse. Good info.

Plastic jar lids doing their job awesome:

I would not recommend whatman-style filters for WBS tho. Milo likes to get trapped in the filter plug and the jars end up stalling out.

I wouldn't recommend Whatman filters for grain jars. They don't allow enough GE since the hole is significantly smaller than holes covered by SFDs.

I ran out of SFD discs and needed more lids urgently so I gave them a shot. They seriously suck dick Thankfully I only had 12 lids with them on but I ended up tossing about half the jars because they stalled out on me
