This is the biggest natural patch of oysters ive yet found :-)

So i picked enougth for tonights dinner :-)

I also saw a few other speices of mushrooms, 2 in particular i found interessting
.
This one looks very much like a dog poo from afar.
Very leathery feel
Growing next to an old oak stump(maybe from a root just below the surface)
No real smell
No noticerbal spore release system(unless they oze from the deep cracks in it)
Flaky skin

This monster was growing directly from the base of a large oak
Velvety feel
Spongy
Strong shroomy smell
Yellower than this picture shows
and not disimular o bract fungi

any idears?  :oogle:

Nice finds. Clone the oysters - it seems a nice strain.
The second one is a Scleroderma sp. - not edible or even poisonous according to some sources. The spores are produced inside like with the puff balls.
I don't know about the 3rd one. You can try to ID it with the  Key to polypores
