Yup. Homemade biscuit dough with farm fresh beef and slap chopped carrot, potatoes and garlic. Glazed with egg yolk from my own chickens.

Empanada with some leftover Porterhouse, carrots. potato, onion and a little mashed potato. It is too hot to turn on the oven so I added egg to the dough and pan fried them in some oil.

They were flattened and oval to cut down on the amount oil needed to fry.

Love the pics but why put "veggie meat" into it?

I make a living selling real meat and I also love vegetarian dishes.  I just don't understand the desire to add a weird meat like substance to meals when there are soo many different vegetarian recipes that are just soo good on there own?

Corn flour, pepper, salt and hot water, mix then put into hot oiled cast iron skillet with a tortilla iron (I use a smaller cast iron pan that's also oiled with nice patina to press them. For a tender-crisp texture I  flip and fry other side then take off heat put on plate folded over itself but still rounded no crease at bottom, let sit for a bit.

I should also mention I par cook them then take out of pan and put a bowl over and cut an accurate circle with a sharp knife or razor then back into the pan to finish off.
