We got these beautiful baby sweet peppers in our veggie box, so I charred those on the grill and made a soup.  We had that along with heirloom tomato & goat cheese salad and homemade cheddar biscuits!

i'm making vichyssoise from scratch and smoking a lemon pepper turkey tender to go with it.

for the vichyssoise I will sub almond milk (unsweetened, no flavor) for the heavy cream.

yum

edit: and i'm adding fresh costal chantrelles to it

Does that work good? That is interesting,  the flavour of the almond milk would be good in place of cream in a few dishes I can think of

Crack the salt shell with a spoon to expose fish. You may need to be careful with pieces stuck to skin. Transfer whole fish to serving tray, garnish: (olive oil, lemon, etc.) and eat.

Tonight is going to be a single mans dinner (plus the dog). I had some left over chicken so I cooked some white rice.  Wanted to keep it simple so I tossed some steamed carrots in the microwave.  Put it all togather and have white trash fried rice lol.
