1slowtv, I definitely can use a few of those pics, but can you upload them through this website so I can use them?

Here is where you upload, then paste links again:

I am a bit behind been working 13+ hours a day, I'll be able to get caught up tonight or tomorrow night. I'll be at Seaworld the majority of tomorrow though -.-

In the OP I added an index and will begin to organize all the shots into easy to find categories. Please take a look at the index and tell me if you have any suggestions for it. Such as add new subjects remove subjects, whatever.

Once this part is done we will be able to see where we are lacking and where we have an abundance.

Not using enough spawn when spawning to substrate. The myc ends up stressing and when it comes time to fruit it pushes out lots and lots of "special" mushrooms. lol

The same iso was used for these as well.
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17318757

No chemicals have come into contact with them.
All the fruiting conditions were how they should be.

The spawn to sub ratio was dam5050's tek but only used one quart of generation2 spawn. I honestly thought it would fail but it colonized the entire tub.

So unless there was some weird genetic mutation during colonization, I think it was from lack of spawn. I'm not 100% certain though. O-o

Rosecombs are genetic IME.
How did you do your isolating? From a clone or from MS?
How many transfers till you got them?

That was a MS agar culture iso. I usually transfer 2-3times after the first section is chosen from the MS agar culture. I make backups each time I transfer to culture tubes. Once I find the strain I want to experiment with I make plenty of backups, then I transfer the strain again and again till it becomes cottony and I record which on transfer the first signs of cottony growth began to show. I also record colonization times for each transfer to see how quickly it declines.

Am I missing something or not doing something right?

If you're only making 2-3 transfers, you are close to isolates but they won't be perfect...myself and others (including RR) have found that sectoring for cubes doesn't even show up until after the 4th or 5th transfer.

Other than that, sounds good

Just a heads up. A lot of peeps block offsite content. So a lot of what you're posting can't be seen.

Situated the O.P, and added 6-7 new pics. Feel free to make contribution.
I was also given permission to jack pics from the TC's, such as Citric. This could get interesting.
Tomorrow I'll put together the "What it shouldn't look like" section with it's own separate graphics.

Right now it appears we are lacking in edibles/medicinal fruits and mycelium, but mostly fruits.
Can always use more Pan Cyan pics too. Browse the front page and see whats missing.

I'm sure you could snag some pictures off of old TC's gallerys.  Agar, Hyphae, Magash, Large_Dose, OZZ, Otto, ect ect ect.  Check the edibles forum for pictures of fruits as well.

For the contamination you can look in the FAQ here http://www.shroomery.org/5276/What-are-common-contaminants-of-the-mushroom-culture for a bunch of good pictures.
