Actually I have them near a window, and this is the only time of year I can successfully grow them. I am in FL, and the temps throughout the year are always hot.
But right now my fruiting room stays about 64-68F, they are really enjoying it, it seems.
{I've tried fruiting them at 75F+ and they won't do shit)

Edit: In your sig, how did a ladybug get into your monotub? That is an awesome picture. But the cubes look to be stretching for fresh air.

I hear ya , Fl ...right above ya man!!!

as for my pic ... I have no idea how she got in there ...and yea they wanted some FAE it was on it's 3rd flush and I was lazy and neglected it. But I love that Pic.

Here's a mutant or 2.

This mutant makes me think of fried eggs.

Conjoined mushrooms.

Still looking for photo contributions in all fields, add whatever you like, if it can't be used it wont. If it can, it will.
Also taking any suggestions to the current system, or suggestions for new categories. or anything really. Thank you all for the awesome contributions so far.

I feel we still have a long way to go, so don't give up just yet.

Looks like Baccilus bacteria in pic 1, pic 2 has some other stuff going on in it, I might be able to use those if I can clean them up in photoshop a little bit. Gota love cell phone cameras.

If you're PCing for 90+mins @ 15PSI, it was definitely your inoculant. I dislike LC's, I would avoid them permanently if I were you.
Agar wedges are quite simple and will make a spore syringe last 100x as long.

1drop of spore solution (or less than a drop if you can manage it) is enough to colonize an entire agar plate, then you can cut out wedges and inoculate tons of jars, or just 1 grain master jar, and do G2G. The real advantage is you will see any contamination on the agar, and will almost never waste any spawn to contams.

But me, I really do prefer direct multispore inoculation, I love to see the genetic diversity of each grow, it may be a little less productive then isolation, or a little slower than LC (when it works) but it makes every grow enjoyable and entertaining. Plus you get some cool mutants.

Sorry about your loss though Creek.

It might be really helpful to new cultivators to have a section for ways of achieving good fruiting conditions. Different shots and descriptions of fruiting chambers, mono-tubs and really anything that can be used to fruit, would give them a good idea of how the parameters for fruiting can be achieved. Little explanations for the differences between them would be good for a new growers understanding how everyone's region and environment is different. Examples of common mistakes would also be helpful. These are major issues I have as a noob.

Well said Pasty, I think you're totally right.
In fact my next idea was to do something similar, something like showing properly built fruiting chambers, and good explanations.
Proper lids(of all types), proper jar sizes, proper materials, etc.

If anyone would like to help get this off the ground tonight we need detailed shots of proper fruiting chamber (and improper fruiting chambers)
SGFC, PMP(maybe?), Monotubs (of all types [sgfc monotub hybrid works too]) Green houses (martha)
So let's get the pics flowing, use your imagination, anything you think would be useful to a new cultivator.

Anything.

I'll piece it all together and try to make it make sense.

Edit: Also, if anyone would like to throw together an abbreviation list, like SGFC, GH, PMP, GE, FAE, FC, etc.
With descriptions, maybe something like this already exists?

Strictly G2G lids....

SGFC with plastic food wrap window in lid. It's red, not pink.

That bag was destroyed 6 months ago...lol....I have to buy more.

That bag was also 20+ years old believe it or not.

Maybe someone else has pics of their bags of pillow stuffing?

I just thought your bag looked awesome.
Where the hell did you find a bag of 20yr old polyfill? Did you raid grannies house?

My grand parents live with me, and they are hoarders...in my basement i have everything from Avon deodorant to fabric, buttons, craft supplies, tools, etc....

The answer to your question is my basement, which is like my own personal flea market...lol

Dunno if you need or want some close-up of gourmet mushroom pins, but here are three images I took this morning of some Pearl Oysters I've got going.  You can easily see the mycelium has gone airborne between the straw fibers!  Dunno if you have any pics that illustrate that phenomena.

The "large" holes, are only the size of a dime.  That is why the straw looks like its the size of a log!

Graphic for Supplies and Materials:

I felt like doing something, green, it looks way over dramatic.

Edit: I forgot the contamination section is already green, so I changed it a bit:

Don't feel obligated.  If they have some utility to illustrate something you wish to include, then I'm glad to provide them.  I have no need or intention of deleting them, so if you are overwhelmed, they will be available to you for as long as necessary.

Be well, and Happy New Year.
