I may be making a genetic mutation section for the OP.. why not.
Maybe not since there is already thread(s) devoted to mutants.

I wouldn't consider that a "what it shouldn't look like"
since there is really nothing wrong with it, just genetics.
It's still edible, and safe to consume.

Are you having any problems with fungal gnats trip352? I see a fly trap hanging in your picture, and if 352 is your area code, your in central FL, and there is a lots of gnats there. Also whats in those cups?

Anyways, a pic of some fungal gnat infestation would be cool. Anything going wrong with a cake would help.

I changed the color of all the names of contributors in the OP to make it more obvious.
Thank you all once again.

I'm also considering adding some .GIF's I've made to the OP, but would like some opinions.
Are any of these helpful or educational? Do you learn anything from them? Do you think any of these would make good additions or just make it messier?
Any input at all will help me make a decision.

Just a .GIF I made from pin to mature.

A 108g cube growing

Monotub, start to finish. Uncolonized sub, to harvest, (Cambodian Var. horse dung substrate, no casing, no fan, no mist)

We need more agar shots, more pins/fruits of Penis envy strain, and KSSS strain.
More contams, more improper fruiting chamber grows, or mistakes you've made. Screwed up grows.
Maybe some pictures displaying properly mixed substrates, or properly hydrated coir, etc.
Insect infestations, maggots/gnats. Over hydrated BRF mixtures. Most importantly we need clean shots of FRUITING edibles and medicinal mushrooms.
Oyster, Reishi, Enoki, and so on.
Think about things you've had questions of when you were new, and try to put an informative pic together.

I think they give a nice look at the stages of growth and yes, I think you should add them.

Good stuff, buddy.

You may want to use these pictures for the Enoki Golds.
That one you used, they had too much FAE.

Is rizomorphic growth something that I should keep an eye out for and if I see it should I clone it? I don't really see what is special about it other than it looks cool.

rhizomorphic growth is indicative of almost nothing.

on less nutrient rich substrates (less nutrient rich agar) you will get more rhizo growth than on a nutrient rich agar.

there is some talk in "The Mushroom Cultivator" that rhizos often fruit better.

i dont buy it.

at least not for ps.cubensis.

Delicious! FAE makes a huge difference in the cap size on Enoki I see. I have 6qt's of Enoki spawn ready to use right now, I grabbed some very tall 1 liter water bottles to use like you did.
These pics will be added right away, thank you TL.

Going to work on some graphics for properly constructed fruiting chambers, lids, flowhoods, Still air box/Glove box.
Very concise and clear, 1 or 2 pics each just to display proper construction. As well as properly mixed substrates/spawns, proper moisture levels, etc.
