Uninstalling apps ...
    #1721692 - 07/16/03 03:32 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

I have noticed that Windows versions of scanners for linux ( eg: nmap, nessus ) have their uninstall part fucked up. The case Im writing this thread is for NessusWX : When I select uninstall after picked from add/remove software list, it stops and never continues. Is there a tool I can download that will remove it for me ? Thanks.

There may be an install log that will show everything that was done durring install. You could then uninstall it manualy.

remove the program from the add/remove list or actually remove the program? If it messes up, just go into the directory and then just delete it all. Then use a program like regcleaner to remove the keys, then use regedit and remove it from the add/remove list.

just manually delete it. Nuke it out of the registry.
