First time grow

would someone be able to help me out a little? I the Mushroom Cultivation Board and didn't receive much help. So I thought I'd try a more advanced board.
I am trying Mycology for the first time and I have seemed to mess up somewhere...I had steady results for probably 4 days and then the Mycelium stopped growing. What, if possible, can I do to restart the growth of the mycelium?
Thank you. Randy
The pictures are of some of my jars, they all look basically the same, and my incubator.

the foil is only on the sides not on top and i was just recently told to take off the tape, which i did immediately, the top tote is resting on spacers and is NOT in direct contact with the incubator heater

Wrong forum, also, unless its less than 65 degrees you don't need a incubator. Pretty sure the gray stuff isn't mushroom myc also.

You have foil on your lids and tape over your holes. Your mycelium is suffocating. It needs to have gas exchange to grow properly. Untape the holes and get the tin foil off the lids, and give it a few days, that should help things out.

nm didn't read your second post, you did good taking tape off and if foil is only on the sides, you should have no problems, just give it a few days. If after a week you don't see any results something else is up. Be patient, that is the key to this hobby!

fill your jars no more then 2/3. The lower layers are not getting enough GE, Maybe look into getting some filter disk and lids. GE means a lot when colonizing

I'm no expert (I really still a noob), but your jars look a little wet to my eye. That coupled with too little GE, will definitely lead to mold and or bacteria. Chances are that any mycellium that was started (though I don't see any mycellium in there), stopped once the contams got a foothold.
Next time use 1/2 pint jars, or you can do what I do and fill the bottom 2-3 inches in the jar with dry vermiculite, and layer your brf/verm on top. This will also help with excess moisture. Good luck.

do you recommend i flip the jars? i've heard of people doing that to increase the GE in the lower portion of the jars, and should i cover my incubator with a towel or anything?

Not really much point in flipping the jars yet. Usually this is reserved for getting that last little bit in the bottom to go. As you really dont have anything started, (I dont see any mycellium at all in there) flipping them now ain't gonna help much. You dont want to disturb them much at all at this point. I'd say leave em for a week (don't even touch them). Then if you come back in a week and they still look the same, its probably trash time. Also your incubator may be hurting your growth. I personally found that my growth was better when I dropped my temps down to 75ish from the 80's I was using initially. Higher temps encourage bacteria and molds to get a foothold. In fact I just turned on my heater for the first time in months now that the cold weather has arrived, and my grow room is now holding at 73. I'm just a noob, but that is my two cents.

First the culture "looks" wet. Not saying it is, but you are on to something with the suffocation problem. Another is that what I see in the pics does not seem to be proper Mycelium but perhaps another mold. You want elongated and bright white ropey strands. Something more akin to a snowflake. If it looks wispy, not ropey, probably a bad fungus.

You need to read the basic pf tek, rr puts out free videos for it, your main problem besides your outdated info is your patience, imo, this isn't an advanced topic
