Salvia and the female presence...

I ask my friend if he wants to try some salvia 5x, he asks me what it's like. I say that it isn't recreational and should be used sacredly to delve into the depths of the multiverse. I tell him that it's probably something he won't want to repeat anytime soon.

So he says sure, why not.

3 tokes later he drops the pipe and it appears that his consciousness is sucked away from his physical body, he has a very blank look, like a child, completely uncomprehending... He falls off the bed and sits on the ground feeling the wall while mumbling incoherently. After awhile I ask him what happened. It takes him another 20 or so minutes to put words to it.

He said that after exhaling, he started to become pulled into 'another world'. He said that everything around him was moving at a hyperspeed, morphing into different objects. He said that he felt a female presence calling to him, and that it made him very scared and he tried to hide.

Keep in mind that my friend knew next to NOTHING about Salvia. When he described it I was astounded, because I had read numerous experience reports referring to Salvia as a female entity. Why does it have this effect on human consciousness?

My theory is that archetypicaly, it symbolizes mother Nature herself. We have become seperated from Nature and have foolishly dominated her for thousands of years. When you smoke Salvia it puts you on a connection with her and she shows you other ways of being. Salvia changes you in a very unconscious way, which can make it extremely subtle, depending on how able you are to comprehend the changes.

Does anyone have any Salvia experiences of their own they would like to share?

yes. I know about the "female presence". I've felt many times a presence in the room on various entheogens but nothing as strong and specific as the Salvia Entity. she is green in color, has long limbs, has no face that I can make out - it always seems just outside my view, her voice is soothing and very feminine, but not in a sexual way. one time she grew out of a potted plant, another time a corner of a room (vertical line) became her main "stalk" and long branches/arms grew out of her and embraced me but sometimes she's not so friendly.

I get the feeling that the Salvia Entity is really real. I know that she's just a hallucination NOW, but when I'm THERE in her realm she is as real as anything, I could still hear her laughing and chastising me "and you didn't believe I was real!", "here I am!", "here you are again.. what have you done?"

oh that's right I just smoked some Salvia! it's all just a hallucination. it's not real, it's not real, it's not real.

I've tried salvia some times. The funny thing is that i feel a very strong presence. I believe it doesn't work the same way for everyone, it unleashes something common though, a will of freedom. For me it's also about power and rage with places and situations more calm and relaxing, a "trip" in the literal sense.
I just saw the movie Hulk the other day. I was laughing at myself when watching the character becoming Hulk and then jumping, i feel very much like that. I know what you mean about the female part, i have to find it to stop somewhere, it's not a female being just a kind, warm and intelligent presence that could resemble something like your mom, Venus, the Virgin Mary or a sexual fantasy. It's a very interesting feeling though.
Sorry i'm a bit stoned right now but if you ever see the movie, pay attention when Bruces father gets hit by the gamma rays and starts morphing with the metal, or even when he "eats" all that power and flies inside the clouds, i mean, how do they think about all this stuff ? Or maybe is this stuff from Morroco i've been smoking.

the first several times I felt serious female presence on the stuff.

Looking back I think it may be due to all the talk about a female presence I had seen here on the internet. Its like all these trip-reports are restricting the possibilities or something, or at least accentuating certain ones

But of course... rofl next time I do it now I'll probably get a female presence again :wink:

I feel that.. in fact I made a post about salvia's presence to me recently. It does feel very feminine in nature..it is also very ancient, very wise, knows the brutality of the physical world and knows how to face it fearlessly. This entity can be frightening for some, as it's presence it very powerful and fierce, but it is a very potent teacher and humbling spirit.
Salvia shows you the false things of reality. It reminds you what is real, what is eternal.
I did in fact get a large impression that Salvia was the manifestation of "mother nature's consciousness". Fierce, survivalist, with the power to destroy, yet gentle and benevolent with loving intentions.

On all of my breakthrough trips on salvia, I have felt a definate female presence over my shoulder. Feels kind of like a motherly god figure.

I can feel "ideas" coming into my head from the presence, and the ideas explain what is going on to me.

on my only breakthrough experience on salvia i was transported into another body, his name was chris. throughout this i was talking in a different voice and i felt a female presence behind my right shoulder, guiding me through my voyage, it was amazing.
my sister also reported seeing an elegant woman in white sitting on our sofa.

Mother of God !
I thought I was the only one who had that feeling !!
I took Salvia a couple of times about a year ago and
felt a deep and close presence. When I closed my eyes
I had CEVs and saw the classic image of the Indian
Godess Shiva. The entire experience was very short
(10 mintues) but wonderul and very "Indian" - can't
figure out why. It was the last thing on my mind
or what I would have expected...

P.S
btw, in some of my other posts I mentioned that I've
only used MJ twice and shrooms once, I completely
forgot to mention Salvia since it was legal and I
guess I didn't make much of a deal about it. But
yeah, I've had Salvia twice in the past. That's
all I've done in terms of drugs.

Shiva is usually pictured as a male god. Maybe you are thinking of Shiva's wife, who in various manifestations is called Shakti, Parvati, Durga or Kali.
