Pan Cyan Printing Problems

Can anyone offer a reason why pan cyans wouldn't be dropping spores? They look healthy & full grown at about 5-6", with caps between 3/4 to 1" in diameter...

All of the caps remain convex, and the stalks appear to be dusted with dark spores, but it's actually the deep bluing of the stalks.

It's day 3 for them being full grown, and I'm afraid to wait any longer, or should I?

Strain is Australian Pan Cyan - MushMush. Any hints Una?

what is ambient temp and RH . are U trying to print under glass ?
if RH & temp are too high the caps get soggy, and spores just stick to the gills instead of dropping .

I guess that you have a monocaryotic strain -
therefore it hasn't the ability to reproduce itself.

LOL, i don't think that's correct.

Pans are notorious for being finicky sporulators. I would harvest earlier. As well as put a drop of water on the cap prior to putting it in the printing chamber, sometimes they dry out.

I think a 12 hour earlier harvest would be your best bet though. Pans don't sporulate forever like cubes.

They don't ripen evenly like cubensis. Sometimes they drop very light prints only.

I actually had the most success waiting longer. Good for prints, bad for future flushes.

You will see Spores on the upper surface of the caps when they are ready. If you are lucky they will be black on the tops of the caps, and you get DARK PRINTS.

Once picked and placed on the PAPER/FOIL etc... Placing a drop of water on the cap surface, and then covering DOES HELP, as mentioned above.
