The hunger games is actually really accurate as to what a future dystopic society would look like. Prison like cities fenced in with very large expanses of wilderness on the outside. It's based on the U.N.s agenda 21 plan
The Running Man is good

The Hunger Games wasn't purely dystopian, the society overall was thriving (as shown by the city in which all the contestants were "shipped to" and their temporary living quarters). Also, the technology used in the Hunger Games (such as the fireball thrower and the vicious dog creator) showed that the society was successful at improving upon technology and creating things that have never been done before. So, again, I would say that the Hunger Games wasn't really that dystopian. Blade Runner is an example of a far more dystopian future in a movie (as evidenced by the very dark, danger-ridden feel of the movie). The Hunger Games was a lot like our current "high society" in the city and was apparently overall successful and booming, and even the "lower-class" that committed treason was not living too bad.

If you like campy movies with a major WTF factor, check out some of this guy's movies from the 80's:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzo_G._Castellari
1990: The Bronx Warriors (1982) The New Barbarians (1983) Escape from the Bronx (1983)
They're basically the post-apocalyptic equivalent of a spaghetti western, knockoffs of better known movies (e.g. the mad max movies, escape from new york) that were shot in Italian and then dubbed poorly into english.
