I was wondering if there is anyway of getting out of faning?
Perhaps adding a hepa filter to your fruiting chamber? anyone have any other ideas i could use so i woulnt have to fan the mushrooms soo much?

fish aquarium air pump $10.00
timer from wal-mart that can be set goes all the way down to 30 min. intervals that can be set to be on for like 30 min. two or three times a day $9.00

Or you could attach an airstone to the other end of the tubing, submerge it in in a small container of h20, h2o2 & perlite and let the pump run 24/7.

not really clear what you are using to fan with to offer an improvement. in my gourmet cultivation, i have it worked out so that there is no mechanical fanning of any kind other than opening the terrarium perhaps once per day or less.
in terms of symptoms that would point to insufficient gas exchange, just exactly are you attempting to achieve with fanning?

pump in humidity using a humidifier then have a fan suck the air out of the bottom. make a filter on top so air can come in through the top being filtered.
i dont know if that will work but i am going to try it.

Why would you need a fan to suck all of your air out of the bottom? This is going to suck out all of your humidity! Just have a humidifier blowing air into your terarrium. As long as it's not sealed air tight, you will get plenty of air flow. If it is sealed, then just drill a small hole in the side with a filter over it. That's all you really need

Wow, you people are digging way to deep and not getting half the results you would if you'd just keep it sinple and use a cool mist. Forget all the fisk tank bubblers and air stones, they don't work for shit compared to the cool mist. Cool mists pump a lot more air in, circulate it more and add humidity at the same time. All you need to do is attach a hose to it and run it into your terrerium and run the humidifier for 10 minutes every 2-3 hours, that's it. No building these poor mans pods, no buying geolite, perlite or any of that other garbage. You can get twice the results with half as much work.

Here's some good links with the teks in it with the cool mist's for you newbies thinking the fish tank bullshit and poor man's pod are the best. Take a look at Anno's flushes, this dude is one of the best cultivators to ever post here, look at what he uses, and look how simple it is. Look at page 4 in the thread for the full view of how it's hooked up. You can use that exact same setup for a terrerium of any size, not just a big one like Anno's.
