Cold Shocking Casing

Okay, so once the mycelium starts peeking above the casing do I cold shock right away? patch the casing for more even growth? Whats the best plan of action?

Patch only if necessary.

Don't bother with a cold shock. It wouldn't hurt anything but it's not necessary, so why bother?

dog is probably right but i had problems with strains like GT, Orissa. The problems were Stroma and Overlay...... So i shall ask which strain are we talkin' about?

No it does not really matter and B+ are nice pinners, dont bother with cold shocking.
