Dub Side Of The Moon
    #1713763 - 07/14/03 11:17 AM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Has anyone heard this? It's fucking amazing. It's a reggae tribute album to Dark Side Of The Moon. I've never heard a tribute album I've liked, but they did a really good job. I can't imagine anyone mixing such different genres of music together (prog rock and reggae). It's upbeat, but it still maintains the feel of the original. On the beginning of Money, there is a series of bong rips instead of the cash registers and such.

If you like Dark Side and/or reggae,I highly recommend it.

It's a great great album, some people don't like it that much because when they hear it they just keep thinking of the original & wishing they were listening to it instead. I love it though. It even syncs up with the Wizard of Oz!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not very big on reggae, but I loved some of the ambient trace remix cd's. I'll have to check it out.

orsome, I've found the right thread,
Dub side is the shit, I chanced to see it in a shop a while back and immediately bought it, it combines two of my most favorite things - reggae and pink floyd, but mostly reggae.
After the climax on Breathe, I'm always expecting it to drop into the original, but when instead it lays down the Jah vibes... ohh, bro!
