removing grease from partridge feathers

a friend give me lots of partridge feathers. have a nice black and white pattern for fly tying, but are too fatty. somebody knows how remove the grease? thanks!

i think regular dish detergent should work, Dawn cuts grease out of your way or some shit. A couple of drops in a quart of water , soak for 15- 20 minutes, rinse clean, then use your girlfriend's salad spinner to dry them out.
Partridge body feathers make nice wet fly collars, if I'm not mistaken. I just saw a pattern that called for them, can't remember which one tho..

I always used borax on my birds skins.  Yeah partridge make nice wet fly hackles.
Put the skin in a ziplock and dump some borax in.  Work it into the meat side of the skin and let the rest get into the feathers. After a while the moisture and oils should be bound up nice.
