Phalaris Rudinaccea as a substrate ?
    #1712584 - 07/13/03 10:27 PM (14 years, 18 days ago)

Does anyone have any ideas on what the effect of the use of Reeds Canary Grass as a substrate would do? I have not read of any experiments using this natural resource as a substrate and the obvious implications . Where I live this is an abundant wet ground grass and could be possibly cut after the plant seeds .

While grass clippings on thier own are very interesting , take into account the substance that is in this grass . .http://www.erowid.org/plants/phalaris/phalaris.shtml . This is a link of interest in the search for truth ?

from all accounts i've heard, grass clippings do not work, and that is only in the FAQ for archive purposes.

Wheat is a grass . Reeds Canary Grass has a long hollow stem such as wheat does , whether this makes a difference or not I do not know . TMC states that cubies and oysters grow in the same type of substrate , there are multiple sites that list oysters growing off of grass waste . But this thread is just to provoke thought as I have no first hand knowledge about growing cubies.

i am currently doing a Psilocybe Azurescens experiement with Phalaris aquatica in the wood chips... that type of Phalaris is supposed to be the highest % of DMT of the Phalaris family. Some book have recommended putting the grass in a juicer to extract a DMT type soup. after breaking down the plants cell structure by freezing and thawing cycle 3 times. I will post when i see any better results.
