Possible oyster? Possible edible Armillaria?
    #17123070 - 10/29/12 10:48 AM (11 years, 3 months ago)

Hey just a few today! I went out to collect the blewitts I found the other day and stumbled across some others.

SPECIMEN 1: Oyster?

Cool mycelium splotches around the surrounding trees!

When I came back home the mushroom above became very.. waxy. It feels EXACTLY like latex or rubber now. It didn't when it was on the tree though.

SPECIMEN 2:

SPECIMEN 3: Is this an edible Armillaria? the honey mushroom? Anyone got ideas on species?

(I didn't mean to pull the whole cluster out!)

gills look greenish to me...

SPECIMEN 4:

SPECIMEN 5: Wow... Bolete? I'm guessing the blue staining isn't psilocin haha! (Growing in woods, humus, fallen leaves, twigs) Sorry bad photos! do your best

As always thanks for taking the time

First one is not an oyster, 2 & 3 are Hypholoma species, 4th is probably an Agrocybe and #5 is indeed a Boletus species.

1) maybe Clitocybe
2) Hypholoma, maybe H. lateritium
3) Hypholoma fasciculare or H. capnoides
4) Hebeloma
5) Boletus

Nice fast replies! good job

Thanks as always  shame it wasn't an oyster! those trees around there are all covered in mycelium

Is it a poisonous bolete? Or is it impossible to tell with those images?
